PARKING see map: The parking garage gates will be open starting at 4 p.m., Friday. If you arrive earlier, park in the garage or another paid area. Gates will remain open all day Saturday.

Parking Lot T (behind the Alumni Center) will be available for Alumni Center parking Friday and Saturday. Spaces are limited in Lot T.

Free parking is available across campus all weekend starting 4 p.m., Friday, until 7 a.m., Monday, in any non-metered/non-reserved parking space on campus with the exception of the visitor paid lot. Overnight parking must be in a designated 24/7 lot.

The Alumni Center should be your first stop when you arrive on campus. This is an impressive space where history is kept alive and new memories are made. Relax in our fireplace lounge, flip through your class yearbook and see memorabilia from when you were a student. You will also receive a 天美传媒 T-shirt to help spread BingPride. Be sure to check in!

Exploring America Through Art 1917-1945
Fine Arts Building

The 天美传媒 Art Museum will present Exploring America through Art, 1917鈥1945, a project that highlights American works of art created in the years between World Wars I and II. Themes include Americans abroad, city life, everyday Americans, government-sponsored art projects, labor and protest, views of African-American life, rural life, wartime, the American West, women鈥檚 world and work, and the growth of distinctly American art. "Threaded Together" is a journey woven in fabric, sound and spirit. It honors where we鈥檝e been, reflects who we are and imagines what we are becoming. Each scene tells a story of loss, healing and celebration. This is not just a fashion show. It is a tribute to Black creativity, strength and joy. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 when purchased in advance and $20 at the door. for this event.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 27

Fifth Annual Wenzel Memorial 5K
West Gym
The race will start and end at the Wenzel memorial statue in front of the West Gym on Bearcat Boulevard. This event, in memory of Gregg Wenzel '91, will consist of a 5K run/walk around campus. The event is open to all. Wenzel was a triathlete and former student-athlete at 天美传媒 who competed on the men鈥檚 varsity swimming and diving team. He was killed in a car accident in July 2003, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he was working as a CIA director of operations. The entry fee is $10 for students and $20 for all others. Entrants must be 13 years or older. Advance registration will be available through RunSignUp.

Celebrate that "Health is Wealth" with SOM

Campus Rec Tennis Courts
Join SOM for an exciting day of pickleball 鈥 America鈥檚 fastest-growing sport! Alumni, students, faculty and families are invited to the East Gym indoor courts for casual play where no experience is necessary or for competitive action in a tournament-style bracket to win the coveted SOM trophy. 50 Years of Inclusion and Accessibility at 天美传媒 
Hinman Multipurpose Room
The Institute for Child Development (ICD) and Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) invite you to a special event featuring brunch, refreshments and a presentation by a successful alumnus, Kayden Stockwell '18, who participated in SSD as a peer mentor as well as a research assistant at ICD. There will also be time to hear from both the co-director of the ICD and director of SSD to learn more about important inclusion enhancements and progress over the last several years. This free event is open to anyone interested in learning more about the important inclusion and accessibility initiatives on campus, recognized programs and connecting with others. The Center for Civic Engagement has partnered with the Nature Preserve for an alumni volunteer project. Volunteers will remove invasive plant species, debris and trash from the Nature Preserve and surrounding areas. Help make a positive impact on the campus environment. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Work gloves will also be needed. for this event.

Moments on the Journey to Paper Quilts

Stacy Newman Winterfield '99 has a true love for tangible art and the majority of her work is printmaking with mixed media. She has coined her work as 鈥淧aper Quilts鈥, mixing printmaking with sewing the pieces together to become a quilt that takes on a life of their own. She pursued her passion earning a bachelor's degree in studio art from 天美传媒 in 1999 and a master's degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2005. Join Winterfield and the art museum staff in a paper quilt workshop where you will learn how she has honed her craft and work together to create a community quilt.

TIER Talks 鈥 Changing Minds 天美传媒 Stress: Stress Mindset, Resilience and Well-Being

TIER Talks: Talks That Inspire, Educate and Resonate is a showcase for 天美传媒 alumni who are dynamic speakers on hot topics. Our featured speaker will be Jennifer Wegmann '94, MA '01, PhD '18, lecturer of health and wellness studies and faculty-in-residence of Dickinson Community. 

This program will delve into the transformative power of altering our perceptions of stress. In a world where stress is often seen as the villain, this presentation seeks to challenge the traditional narrative of stress as purely negative. This presentation will explore the science behind stress mindset, offering practical strategies to reframe stress as a catalyst for growth and productivity. Discover the psychology behind resilience and learn how to harness it as a tool for personal empowerment. Through an interactive discussion and evidence-based insights, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how mindset shapes our response to stress. They'll leave with actionable techniques to reveal resilience, optimize well-being and thrive in the face of challenges. for this event.
