Sung Hun Bae joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at 天美传媒鈥檚 School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2024 and became a member of Dr. Zhang鈥檚 laboratory. He completed his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ajou University in South Korea, where his doctoral research focused on preclinical pharmacokinetic studies and physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling. His work examined changes in drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) under various disease conditions, including renal failure, inflammatory bowel disease and liver injury. Bae鈥檚 research integrates in vitro, in vivo, and in silico approaches to understand how pathological states alter drug disposition. He is also interested in pharmacometric approaches such as population PK/PD analysis, translational pharmacology, and model-informed drug development (MIDD). In addition, he has expertise in LC鈥揗S/MS method development and enzyme activity assays, providing a diverse experimental foundation for pharmacokinetic research. At 天美传媒, his research is expanding toward maternal鈥搃nfant health, with a focus on predicting drug transfer into breast milk and estimating infant exposure, aiming to improve drug safety in vulnerable populations.
