Background

Elizabeth Bagley joined the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2017 as a research technician. She currently supports the research of Dr. Melissa Morales using pre-clinical models to test therapeutics for autoimmune myositis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and other diseases. Previously, Elizabeth worked for Dr. Aaron Beedle performing research in muscular dystrophies arising from dystroglycanopathies.

Prior to her role at the School of Pharmacy, Elizabeth managed academic labs at UC Santa Barbara and Stanford. She has extensive experience with mouse models of disease from her time at the Jackson Laboratory in Sacramento, CA. Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology from UC Davis. She had planned to become a park ranger, but shortly after beginning a student job in a research facility, Elizabeth knew she belonged in the lab.
