Background
Thiam Huat Kam is a Media Studies scholar and assistant professor in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies at 天美传媒. His research examines the intersection between capitalism, labor and affect, through a focus on transmedia franchises and their fandom in Japan.
Kam has published his work on 鈥渙taku鈥 as a label in , , and a book he co-edited, (Bloomsbury, 2015).
